Derwentside Cycling Clubs 10 mile M107 course
Time Trials for 2013 start Tuseday 30th April, signing on for first 2 weeks will be about 6pm as the first rider is off at 6:45. There after the first rider will be off at 7pm. Club membership needs to be paid within the first 3 weeks of the Time Trials.
The course starts on the A68 just outside The Manor House Inn (see map below). You can park there or near the finish at Edmundbyers village green and ride to the start. Sign on is at the start. As you can see from the course profile below it is very undulating. The first part of the course follows the A68 then turns left at Kiln Pit Hill, this part of the course is where you will encounter the most traffic. As for the rest of the course it can be almost traffic free. From Barleyhill riders descend down towards the Derwent Reservoir then the route follows the rolling road around this. Other climbs include the incline at Carricks just before the final left turn and a short climb just before the finish.
Times and results are called out at Edmundbyers village green.
Riders must sign on no later than 6:40 pm.
